Are you Lifepoint's Next Student Ministry DIRECTOR?
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Student Ministry Director is responsible for shepherding and caring for the middle school (MSM) and high school (HSM) students of Lifepoint Church. This is done primarily through discipleship, activities, Sunday mornings, Midweeks, and Lifegroups. This individual will collaborate with staff and volunteers to oversee all aspects of student ministry, including:
- Creating a thriving ministry that supports the mission, vision, and values of the Church.
- Building and mentoring a dedicated volunteer team that loves the students and effectively teaches Biblical truths.
- Coordinating all aspects of Student Ministry programming, including Sunday services, Midweek, special events, and summer programs.
- Partnering with parents to extend Biblical teaching and discipleship into the home.
- Preparing and overseeing the ministry budget, maintaining a standard of careful stewardship, accurate budgeting, and consistent use of finance approval and reporting systems.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP AND SUPERVISION:
- The Student Ministry Director reports directly to the Executive Pastor.
- Collaborates with staff to strategically fulfill the mission, vision, and values of Lifepoint Church.
- An employee evaluation is usually conducted annually for all employees. (Employee Handbook P.10)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A deep love for Jesus and a passion for sharing the Gospel to transform lives and communities.
- A genuine love for students and a desire to foster a relationship between them and Jesus.
- A heart for outreach, particularly to the unchurched and dechurched.
- A teachable and humble spirit.
- Must meet the Biblical character qualifications of an elder.
- Ability to blend well with the church leadership team and support the church’s mission, vision, and values.
- Strong leadership abilities with proven experience in team building.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Ability to verbally articulate personal faith and a Christian worldview.
- Gifted in leadership and team building.
- A proactive, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Capability to teach and engage students effectively.
- Skilled in recruiting and retaining volunteers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with parents, volunteers, and staff.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain positive, loyal relationships within the church and community.
This position is full-time. Rate of pay depends on experience and education.
